Heat Waves Tanning Studio opened in the summer of 1998 due to a lack of “quality” tanning salons in the area. Since then, owner Rhonda McCoy, has exceeded her own lofty expectations. All 3 Westmoreland County studios have earned the status of being among the top in the nation by Looking Fit Magazine (tanning trade publication). Heat Waves held this honor for 5 straight years and is the only studio the area to be selected again this year. Taking pride in a clean inviting atmosphere with trained and certified staff is the main reason Heat Waves has become the area’s #1 place to tan. It also helps that the equipment is routinely upgraded and maintained to ensure the best tan around. Heat Waves offers 5 distinct levels of tanning including the U.V. FREE Mystic Tan®. The highest quality tanning and skin care products are provided Devoted Creations® and Twelve Palms®. Heat Waves is open 7 days a week and has extended hours from March through July.
